"Annie's Cottage" set in the heart of beautiful
rural Hawke's Bay farm land at "Waiwhenua".
Our recently renovated, fully self contained,
historic farm cottage has extensive views over
farm land and beyond to the cliffs of the trout
filled Tutaekuri River.
"Annie's Cottage" is in the heart of the large
intensive sheep, cattle, deer farm.
Relax, unwind and treat yourselves to the best
country retreat Hawkes Bay has to offer.
"The Cottage" is set in very private and quiet
surroundings. A special place to wind down,
relax and enjoy your stay.
An informative complementary 4WD farm tour is
available for those that are interested. Met the
many farm pets and animals we have and
experience the activities that are going on
during the day. Experience trout fishing our
private stretch of river (in season October
-April). Jason, our own residential fishing
guide is available to guests if requested.
Fishing tackle available for rental. Many
mountain and lake walks within 20-30 minutes
drive. Soak up the atmosphere of a working
family Hawkes Bay farm. Enjoy the hospitality of
your hosts Kirsty and Gary and family at the
Waiwhenua historic homestead for a swim, coffee,
a beer on the verandah or just a chat.
Meals can be arranged for guests (usually home
grown beef, lamb or venison) with prior notice.
Fresh fruit a plenty during the season- February
onwards.
