"Birdsong Cottage"
Why this name? the
birdsong symphony that this garden produces each
morning through to the evening describes the
reason for the name, we planted specifically to
encourage the bird population and that we did,
as it is truly amazing it is a sound lost to
many folk these days, but not here at Aramatai
Gardens, which is a sanctuary and a bird watches
paradise.
Birdsong Cottage is
situated within 2 hectares of garden for you to
view and relax in at your leisure, this award
winning garden has two large natural ponds with
their associated plants and fauna, and an island
planted with NZ native plants.
Also most known
exotic weeping trees, natural rock formations,
roses, flowers, shrubs, rhododendrons,
Camellias, plus a sunken garden and many other
features e.g. fruit, nut and berry orchard, a
vegetable garden, and extensive lawns and
walkways.
Our Cottage and
garden represents a lovely peaceful, tranquil
place to rest and relax in, with many rustic
seats where reflective conversation, a wine or
coffee can be enjoyed by visitors, it is an
oasis just off a main highway where stresses can
be forgotten, or Trisha can ease away any aches
