The charming historic cottage was built in
1856 as part of the stables for the English parents of George
Gould, the owner of Hambledon. It offers unique accommodation
for two people and is within the Hambledon grounds with its
own courtyard and private entrance on to the street. The
secluded location enables guests to be as private or as public
as they choose. Off street parking.

richly furnished and romantic bedroom has a queen size bed.
Quality bedding, crisp pure cotton sheets, antique furniture,
vibrant curtain fabrics and oriental rugs create the Victorian
theme. Original wooden diagonal paneling and a built in
dresser set the tone in the sitting/breakfast room. Antique
settee, wing-backed chair and Kauri table and chairs give a
cosy atmosphere. TV, video, radio, telephone and dishwasher
provide the conveniences of today. Kitchen and electrical
appliances include, microwave, electric stove, refrigerator,
washing machine and drier. There is a full range of quality
china and kitchenware. The bathroom has a shower over a
claw-foot bath as well as bathrobes, quality towels, hair
drier, heated towel rail and bathroom heater.

HAMBLEDON COACH HOUSE
A Colonial
cottage set in the Hambledon garden. It originally was the
'Groom's' quarters built beside the old stables. As Hambledon
no longer requires horses the cottage is now available for
guests. There is the choice of a queen bedroom downstairs or
of a twin bedroom upstairs. The upstairs sitting room and
kitchen opens onto a sunny balcony that over looks the garden.
Very comfortable and spacious accommodation for 2 to 3 people.
