Description:
Taste Naseby guests
have the option of simply staying Naseby’s most
sought-after “bach” – He Wahi Ra, which is Maori
for “a place in the sun” – or selecting from one
of Taste Naseby’s activity-based packages, which
include fly-fishing, unwind and relax,
four-wheel driving safaris, curling and hunting.
He Wahi Ra was completed in 2005 and is a
stunning property, finished to a high standard
and with all the little features that ensure
guests’ holidays are the best they can be. It
maximises the sun in summer and the snowy
ambience in winter.
Depending on guests’ needs, they may simply want
to enjoy He Wahi Ra as a holiday base – as many
of our New Zealand families so – or they may
prefer a little organised action.
If guest don’t know Naseby, then they are in for
a treat. This charming village offers a glimpse
of how Central Otago once was. The small
township has retained many of the original
buildings from the goldmining days. It is a very
special place – a place which captures people’s
spirits.
