From the cottage follow the historic walk
through the narrow streets and garden landscape
of Kohukohu to view some of the buildings
remaining from when Kohukohu was a kauri timber
milling town.
Cross the Hokianga Harbour by ferry to explore
the village of Rawene and to visit the mangrove
walkway. A day trip by car can take you to kauri
forests, sand dunes and beaches or to the Bay of
Islands, Ninety Mile Beach and Ngawha Springs.

A two bedroom
self-contained harbourside cottage with
expansive views of the harbour from the front
verandah, bedrooms and living room. The back
verandah and garden are sunny and sheltered with
an outdoor BBQ. A queen bed is in the first
bedroom and a double bed and a single bed in the
second bedroom. Linen, duvets and towels are
supplied.
Facilities are modern and comfortable. The
bathroom contains a bath and shower with a
toilet in an adjacent room. There is a washing
machine and indoor and outdoor washing
lines. Kitchen includes cook tops, small bench
top oven and grill, microwave and fridge. A BBQ
is located outside. Included in the cottage is a
radio, a small TV ,DVD player and telephone.
