Tucked away in the quiet village of Toko, this tastefully restored 1890's era cottage offers privacy, beautiful rural views, and is surrounded by mature landscaped grounds.
Conveniently situated 8 minutes drive from Stratford on the ‘Forgotten World Highway’, Oak Tree Cottage offers a central position for easy access to many of the attractions based in South and North Taranaki, including Taranaki's famous public gardens, the ski field, restaurants, galleries, museums and more.
Relax in a fully furnished two double-bedroom historic cottage with modern facilities such as air-conditioning and state-of-the-art gas hot water system.
Enjoy a short stroll to the village pub for a pint of your favorite and a meal, or stay in and use the fully equipped kitchen. A private deck allows for outdoor entertaining so you can enjoy the sound of the native bird life, or just contemplate the views.
The cottage also houses a self-contained traditional bookbinding studio which can be accessed for those who wish to see, or even use it. Behind the cottage is an old wood-fired potters kiln which has been converted into a pizza oven for the more adventurous.
Private off-road parking is available for two vehicles, and pets are welcome by arrangement.

Enjoy a soak in the bath, or shower if you prefer, in a fully modernised bathroom that still has that traditional feel.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic top oven, microwave, fridge and all the equipment you would expect, including cookware, cutlery, crockery etc. Basic food is supplied such as individual serve breakfast cereals, milk, butter, sugar, tea, hot chocolate and plunger coffee.
Laundry facilities are also incorporated in the cottage.
The lounge/dining has a double sofa/bed, armchair, six seater dining table, TV/DVD player and radio/CD.
The cottage is serviced by a heat pump which air-conditions, heats and dehumidifies when required.
Outdoor Furniture is available.
