Thyme
Lane Cottage is private, fully furnished and
self contained. The cottage consists of a
bedroom with king-size bed, a bathroom en-suite;
and a separate kitchen/dining/lounge room with a
sofa bed. The decor is country style with
furnishings that reflect the history of Central
Otago with a touch of Provence. There's TV (no
SKY) and a radio/tape/CD player, along with a
selection of tapes, CDs, and holiday reading.
There's a microwave, and a
small fridge; and the usual selection of teas,
coffee and extras. A continental breakfast can
be provided by prior arrangement. There's good
casual and quality dining at Clyde and
Alexandra.
The Clutha River is
within walking distance from the cottage, and
you can take the riverside walkway towards
Alexandra or Clyde. The historic gold mining
town of Clyde has examples of old stone
buildings, fascinating museums, and historic
walks. There is excellent fishing in the area,
and good water sports on Lake Dunstan, Hawea and
Wanaka. Other recreation activities include
golf, tennis, wine tours, 4-Wheel-Drive trails,
historic gold trails, and during winter there is
great skiing close by at Cardrona, Treble Cone
and The Remakables and Coronet Peak.
Check-out is by
11.00 a.m, unless a later time has been
negotiated.
