Trelawn Place is a riverside Bed and Breakfast only 5 minutes (4km) drive from Queenstown CBD offering all the peace and privacy of a tranquil retreat. The delightful 2 acre cottage garden is on the edge of the famous Shotover river and overshadowed by dramatic mountains including Coronet Peak ski field. Your Hosts . Michael Clark & Nery Howard purchased the land in 1973, and the building of the house was a labour of love, involving endless hours of planning , building and collecting rocks for the gardens and walls. Nery, originally a Home Science Teacher, and Michael a fruit grower from central Otago, have been enjoying the company of guests from all over the world since 1979, look forward to welcoming you as well. Both well travelled, the library has many books and photo albums that you are welcome to browse through. The garden reflects their other interest. Well tendered rose gardens, shady Conifers and a hillside garden where paths wander through trees, and a waterfall trickles down the rocks to feed several fish ponds. Animal lovers , they have 2 Welsh Corgis, and two black cats. Michael is a keen Fly fisherman.

Rooms & Facilities:

The Cottage. Located beside the river, separated from the house by fruit trees this stone cottage has two bedrooms, with a queen bed upstairs with it's Juliet balcony looking down into the river. The second bedroom downstairs, has two single beds. A bathroom with a shower, a little kitchen and a laundry. There is comfortable seating around a cosy potbelly stove in the sitting room. Outside on the patio you can sit in the shade and watch the jet boats go by below.

The Apartment. A really special treat. The King bedroom is upstairs with it's own Juliet balcony. A private patio to sit and enjoy an evening drink in this mountain paradise. A single bed downstairs is part of the cosy sitting room with Victorian fireplace well equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom with shower. TV video and DVD.
A special feature of Trelawn is it's out doors Jacuzzi. This is sited at the edge of the lawn over looking the river.
